RICHMOND HILL NEIGHBORHOODS Buckhead - is one of Richmond Hill's most desirable neighborhoods. It is named after an upscale neighborhood in Atlanta and conveys the same high end image, with large lots and oak tree lined streets. The community has over 300 homes ranging in price from $200's to well over $500,000.
Buckhead has a great lowcountry lifestyle amenity package that has an attraction for every member of the family from beautiful retirement gardens to miles of walking and cycling trails throughout the community. It also has: tennis courts, basketball courts, children’s playground and a swimming pool with a concession stand and picnic tables. Click here for a video presentation of Buckhead.
Buckhead North - is located just to the north of Buckhead and has very similar amenities to Buckhead featuring: walking/cycling trails, ornate gardens, large live oak trees, a recreation pond, swimming pool, children's park, football field, baseball field, soccer field, tennis courts and basketball courts; even a place to store you boat or RV...a full house. Homes in the neighborhood range in price from the $300's to well over $600,000.
Palm Bay - is a beautiful marsh-front-living gated community in Richmond Hill, Ga. With only 23 homes on lots that are about half an acre to over 2 acres, it is very private and pretty low density. The community features custom homes, landscaped lots, marsh views, secure code controlled gate entrance, a few wooded walking trails and about 2 acres of stocked fish ponds. Coastal living at its best.
Sterling Woods - is a small sub-division with only about 40 homes and very few lots available. Every home is either marsh front of waterfront, and some have both. Homes are typically in the >$350,000 range. The neighborhood enjoys great across the road access to Publix. One of the things I like about the neighborhood is the tidal pond that is large enough to Kayak and catch fish, hours on fun and entertaining for free in your back yard.
The Ford Plantation - in Richmond Hill is the premier luxury gated community on the east coast. It features 1800 acres of land on the Ogeechee River with only 400 homes. Once the winter home of automotive magnate Henry and Clara Ford, this exclusive neighborhood has it all: private Pete Dye Golf course, golf pro shop, clubhouse with fine dining, pool (with casual poolside dining), Har-Tru tennis courts, exercise facility with 2 squash courts, equestrian center with 2 arenas and 14 miles of walking trails, large marina, outdoor sports store and all immaculately maintained. The estate also features the magnificent "Main House", one the winter mansion of Henry Ford, which now doubles at a historic venue for member functions and weddings as well as a private 5 bedroom bed and breakfast.
Lots are available starting at about $100,000 and homes sell for between $600,000 to $5 Million. Most of the property owners are second home owners but there are a lucky handfull of permanent residents as well. Click here for a video presentation of The Ford Plantation.
The Sanctuary - is a gated neighborhood on the east end of Richmond Hill, far away from traffic and environmental noise. There are only 31 home sites in the neighborhood and each site is at least a half acre, so there is plenty of privacy and elbow room between neighbors. There is a private pool with BBQ area, kitchenette, children’s park and picnic benches for the exclusive use of the neighborhood residents. The homes are all very modern, custom, low country homes. This may be a great neighborhood for you, if you are looking to live in Richmond Hill with all its amenities but feel like you want a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle on the outskirts of town when the sun goes down at the end of the day.Click here for a video presentation of The Sanctuary.
Bloomingdale Neighborhoods Stone Gate - is an ideal gated neighborhood perfectly located near the I16 and I95 interchange, making it very easy to access. The neighborhood is almost completely built out with very few unimproved lots still available. Low maintenance, brick exterior homes range in price from the low $140’s to over $250,000.
Besides the ideal location the neighborhood also sports a full size football/soccer, baseball field; private lake and camping recreation area; clubhouse with pool, exercise room, function room, children’s playground, tennis court, basketball court and large swimming pool. In my opinion this is a great value neighborhood.
